Prop firms and MT5 servers (MetaTrader 5 limitation)
Some prop firms or trade servers may not appear in the selectable list yet, or the connection may fail for that reason. Unfortunately that is a constraint of how MetaTrader 5 integrations work—we can only connect within what MT5 and our allowlist support. If your prop firm or server is missing, contact TradeTrack support and ask us to add your firm or server to the allowed list. After we verify the details, we can often enable it.
Steps in the app
- 1
Create your TradeTrack account
Sign up at TradeTrack and confirm your email if prompted. You can start during beta at no cost.
- 2
Add a trading account
Open Accounts (or the trading accounts section) and create a new trading account. Give it a clear name—for example the broker and account type.
- 3
Select MetaTrader 5
When choosing the platform for this account, pick MetaTrader 5 (MT5).
- 4
Choose the integration connection method
Select integration (API connection) rather than file import so trades stay in sync from your terminal.
- 5
Enter MT5 credentials
Enter your MT5 account number and server name as shown in your terminal. Complete authorization when the app asks—this links TradeTrack to your account securely.
- 6
Wait for the first sync
The first import may take a few minutes depending on history size. Later updates are faster.
- 7
Review trades in the journal
Open the journal or trades list and confirm that positions match your terminal. You can add notes and tags on top of synced data.
What you still add manually
The terminal sends executions and balances. Context for your process is added by you:
- Trading session (London, New York, Asia, etc.)
- Setup or strategy label
- Mistakes, screenshots, and detailed notes
- Extra tools (bias, POI, entry models) as you use them
